This spring poem explores the thin veil between fate and free will, through a series of questions. Let me know what you think! From my new poetry book Endless River now available on Amazon and also directly from Pebble Publishing, link below.
Dandelion Spirit
by Brett Dufur
She moved
on unseen winds,
levitating.
Sentillae of desires and dreams
tickled on wisps of ether.
Liberated by the universal cycle
of eternal motion.
Faith in the unseen,
not holding on
but letting go.
Outstretched,
for the Trade Winds
to caress her.
Sun rising,
heat rising,
breezes reawakening
the motion,
the tremulous yet resolute vulnerability.
Is it fate
to wait for the winds?
Or free will to open herself up?
The questions linger on
as the winds carry her breathlessly, away.
