We’ve learned that Matt Younkin had to make an emergency landing this afternoon in St. Joseph, Missouri after one of his landing gear failed to extend on the Twin Beech. He was able to land the plane safely and no one was injured. Matt was scheduled to perform this weekend at the Sound of Speed Air Show.

After more than three years and a tremendous amount of work, Our B-25 Mitchell, "Yellow Rose," had a successful maintenance flight this week! Crewed by Matt Quy, TJ Cook, Ray Clausen, Victor Bibilonisambolin, and Jim Liles, and supported on the ground by Steve Reed, the airplane flew for 40 minutes on the first of a planned series of shakedown flights as we prepare to resume normal operations with the Yellow Rose.

Come out to the 3rd Coast Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force hangar at McCampbell–Porter Airport! This event is open to everyone. Bring the family. Fly in! Drive in! Bike in! Walk in! Bring the family! Bring a friend!

Plenty of parking. Airplanes will be on display and our amazing military museum will be open.
