For 15 years we have taken pride to work with nearly every 3PL. We are thankful for majority of the relationships we have cultivated and rely on each week. While we are not perfect we do strive for excellence through constant improvement. Recently, we were dealt a bad hand by FLS Transport. Having seasoned professionals in a fast paced industry we focus on constant communication and confirming our messages are delivered, we do that thousands of times weekly.
We pride ourselves on prompt, courteous communication, honesty and accountability. Unfortunately FLS uncovered they produce a problem that plagues our industry, when all else fails crap on the carrier. As you can see in the link posted below, we confirmed a load in an email, then shortly after a confirmation was sent but it was unread as this email is one of many used to confirm various rate confirmations and is unattended most days. Since FLS never verbally informed us or received confirmation that we knew they cancelled a load we continued to do as contracted. We have a signed rate confirmation, with no calls to our office or the owner operator who booked the load we successfully delivered the load as contracted. Now they are taking money due to a lack of follow through on their behalf.
After being demeaned and hung up on by Jared (call attached to page) we attempting to reach management and were less impressed with their “management” skills. Transportation doesn’t have a work ethic problem, it has a culture problem and it seems to be rooted deeply within FLS. We have been around long enough to know better,l and remember how this industry use to perform in sync and work together to address problems, we still have many days like that but every now and again you get what we experienced with FLS. Zero accountability, little communication and posturing a position of dominance. No rate reductions were mentioned until we made both on time pickup and on time delivery.
FLS Transport we can STILL be reached at (540) 223-4488 x1002 if you wish to discuss this matter in a professional way or can read about our experience with your company here.
Note: Having dealt with 2 of your employees there is no doubt your company will run to Carrier411 and attempt to report us and deter business versus call and find a common ground or understanding to the events that transpired over the 2-3 days between receiving the rate confirmation and delivering the load. We are accountable for our shortcomings but will not be blamed for your portion. We look forward to discussing your corporate values and personnel concerns. The call with your employee is attached, emails and communication logs are partially attached and are fully available upon request.
Character is tested when you have trials. If $350 is a breaking point to do what is right and to compensate a carrier after they do exactly as specified on the rate confirmation then enjoy the last $350 you will see from us. We performed exactly as contracted and cannot help that proper communic.....
