NS New River District

NS New River District Railfan and model page for the Christiansburg and Whitethore Districts of Norfolk Southern's Virginia Division.

Not associated with, funded by, or otherwise having any type of relationship with Norfolk Southern Corp. After considering a couple different lines to base my model railroad on, I finally
decided on one that actually happens to be two lines. My original idea was to only
model the Christiansburg Dist., but to realistically include the coal trains that I love
so much, I had to include the Whitethor

ne Dist also. Fortunately in the real world
NS operates these with one dispatcher as one crew district, so it almost acts like a
directionally run double track railroad with a difference.
