Seward has such an incredible history behind all of the beauty. 🏔️🌊
Before heading out on our Kenai Fjords cruise, we explored a little of Seward’s connection to the Alaska Gold Rush and the historic Iditarod Trail. It’s amazing standing in a place where so much Alaska history began while surrounded by glaciers, mountains, and the ocean.

They say only 30% of visitors to Alaska actually get to see the mountain because it’s so often hidden behind clouds, so seeing it this clearly felt incredibly special. 🤍
At 20,310 feet, Denali is officially the tallest mountain in North America, but there’s always an interesting debate around whether it could be the “tallest” mountain in the world depending on how you measure it. While Mount Everest is the highest above sea level, Denali has one of the greatest rises from base to summit on land, making it feel absolutely massive in person.

No photo can truly capture the scale of seeing this mountain with your own eyes. Alaska continues to completely amaze me. 🏔️✨
