Some planes come fully restored. Others come in boxes—and bring a little magic with them.
This Waco YMF-5 hasn’t flown since the 1950s, when it worked the fields as a crop duster in Idaho. After passing through multiple hands, it’s finally found a forever home—and a second chance.
🛠️ Today, it’s in the skilled hands of West Coast Air Creations, where every fitting, rib, and rivet is being carefully restored or recreated. From a new Hamilton Standard prop to period-correct gauges, the mission is clear: return this beauty to the skies by July 2026—as a flying tribute to the F-series legacy.
Why this plane? Because building one from the ground up meant it was more than a regular restoration…We love a challenge and teaming up with best!
