Very sad news out of Chino airport today. Godspeed Frank Wright of Yanks Air Muaeum. A Lockheed 12 crashed today with two aboard.
I only new Frank Wright for the last 10 years but he always had time to sit down and talk planes and flying with me and if I ever had a mechanical question on how to solve a DC-3 issue he would always help.
He will be missed tremendously in the warbirds community.

As a "Skytrooper," the parachute-adapted version of the renowned DC-3, Serial Number 42-68830 proudly served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. She played a pivotal role in the liberation of Europe, carrying American paratroopers into the heart of France on D-Day. Stationed in England with the 88th Troop Carrier Squadron, 438th Troop Carrier Group, she soared through wartime skies to help bring an end to the German occupation.

After her heroic service, she continued her journey as a civilian, dedicating 60 years to transporting people and cargo. Now meticulously restored, she takes to the skies to offer a serene and joyful perspective on the holiday season.

Our plane, The D-Day Doll (C-53 / DC-3) Turns 80 years old on July 8th and we are celebrating with a day of special activities. Please come and join us and see what it was like to be a paratrooper with our re-enactors and displays. Come visit our museum, and visit with our other World War II planes. We will have Our T-6 Texan, Cub, Stearmans, and other planes all on display for your viewing,
This will be a birthday celebration you don't want to miss!

The D-Day Doll has once again been flying the skies over Southern California since May, bringing making memories and bringing smiles to hundreds of faces!

We are now booking flights for our 80th Birthday Flights departing from the Riverside Municipal Airport from our hangar south of the main terminal building.

If you have any questions on any of our flights, we are available Tuesday-Friday 9am-noon, and 1pm to 5pm to answer your questions and help you book your memorable flight.
