Cal Freight has steadily grown from a strictly brokerage firm to an asset based carrier/broker with up to 600,000 square feet of food grade warehousing available to our customer base. With offices and warehouse facilities nestled throughout the country, we have the capability to offer any logistical solution to our clientele. Our main services include:
Domestic and international freight movements
Port/rail drayage
Nor Cal warehouse facilities and out of state consignment warehousing with boxcar capabilities
Trans load capabilities for standard palletized product, floor, and slip sheet loaded material
Asset based food grade tanker division

Our goal is to provide superior service, coupled with competitive rates in all involved industries year round.

Martin Castillo stepped up to the plate and made a game-saving catch. He spotted a trailer being moved without a glad lock, called a timeout, and checked it out. Turns out, a forklift operator was still inside. Martin’s heads-up play stopped a potentially serious incident before it could make it past first base.

That’s exactly what we call a Nice Catch. ⚾️

⚾ NICE CATCH! ⚾

Carlos Manuel Lopez stepped up to the plate for safety!

While at the Ripon Shop, Carlos caught the smell of propane and didn’t let it slide. He investigated and found a propane tank leaking due to an adapter that had been left connected.

Carlos trusted his instincts, called the play, and helped stop a potential hazard before it could turn into a serious incident.

That’s what we call keeping your eye on the ball.

⚾🚛 NICE CATCH 🚛⚾

Shoutout to AJ Ridley for a real-world Nice Catch at Myrtle Point, OR.

AJ noticed a single-car accident involving a family with three young kids still inside the vehicle. Instead of driving past, he pulled over to check on them, made sure everyone was okay, and stayed engaged until help was on the way.

While adults were focused on traffic and next steps, AJ took the extra moment to connect with the kids and help calm the situation. The family specifically asked that AJ be thanked for his kindness, respect, and awareness during a stressful moment.

When the game got real and the heat was on, Mike came off the bench ready to win it. He spotted a car on fire, pulled over without hesitation, yanked the door open, and got an unresponsive man out safely. 🧯👊 He stayed until the guy came to, called in the bullpen (📞🚓🚑), and then hit the road like it was just another inning.
That’s not just hustle—that’s MVP-level heart.
You didn’t just prevent a tragedy, Mike—

When your trailer tires blew out in the middle of L.A. traffic 🔥🚛, you didn’t flinch—you stepped up to the plate ⚾️🧢.
Pulled over, played traffic cop 🛑, called in the bullpen 📞👨‍🔧, and nursed that rig off the field and safely home 🏠.

Total blowout, zero burnout. That’s what we call truckin’ under pressure 💪💨.

🔥 Nice Catch! 🔥 ⚾🚛 When William Kling saw a rollover on his way back to the DFA plant, he didn’t just sit in the dugout—he stepped up to the plate! 🏆 Without hesitation, he stopped to help the young lady out of her Jeep 🚙, checked on the other vehicle 🚗, called 911 📞🚔, and even moved debris off the road 🛣️ to keep others safe. A true MVP move that proves real heroes don’t wear capes—they drive with purpose! 👏💪 ”
