We are looking for new, unwrapped toys that we will deliver to the Marine Reserve Unit. The Marines then distribute the toys to children in need in New Jersey.

We’re proud to share a special moment captured by Kuiken Brothers, our valued customer in Succasunna, NJ! This video showcases the first delivery of Trex Decking material, a fantastic addition to their product lineup.

We’re happy to be part of Kuiken’s growth by helping them expand their offerings with Trex. But that’s not all—we’re also supporting both our businesses by keeping more trucking off the road and instead utilizing rail travel for more sustainable and efficient deliveries.

In fact, one railcar of Trex material keeps about four trucks off the road, reducing congestion and lowering our environmental footprint!

It's the week of Thanksgiving, and we're thankful for our partners at Phillipsburg Union - PU Tower, Full Throttle, the Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company, and so many others that we'll be visiting on Saturday, November 30th! In between the bustle of the holiday weekend, come out to one of our five stops in Warren County, NJ (including a brand new stop in Hackettstown!) and donate toys to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation!

Chesapeake & Delaware LLC Congratulates Engineer Don Lachenauer on His Retirement!

After eight years of dedication and service, Don ran his final trip today, November 1st. We are honored to congratulate Don Lachenauer on his well-deserved retirement! Since the founding of the C&D in 2016, Don has been an integral part of our team, bringing not only his expertise but also his passion for railroading to every project and endeavor.

On behalf of everyone at the C&D, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Don for his years of exceptional service.

Over the course of just two months at the end of 2024, Operation Toy Train will operate special trains to 47 communities across five U.S. states to collect over 40,000 donated toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Today, we successfully operated the first train on the newly completed runaround track in Rockaway. Situated at the terminus of the Rockaway Branch, this runaround track will enhance the efficiency and safety of our switching operations.

We would like to thank the Morris County Government and Railroad Construction of North Jersey for their assistance in completing this project.
