I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful teams at VRCC and Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center Richmond ❤️
Lucy’s journey began at VRCC, where she received such wonderful care during an incredibly difficult time for her family. Thank you to the team for everything you did for this precious little girl and for helping her get the care she needed. And to the incredible team at Partner, who continued Lucy’s care, I know how hard you all worked to give this precious little girl every possible chance. The compassion, dedication, and love you showed Lucy and her family meant so much.
I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of her journey and to witness just how many people were pulling for this sweet girl❤️

**A little change of plans for Animalance RVA
today! Unfortunately, with the rain and wind, we've decided to sit this one out. We were really looking forward to being part of the Sycamore Fall Festival and appreciate all the work that went into putting today together!
Thank you all for your continued support❤️

Tomorrow is going to be another fun one!!
I’ll be walking in the Midlothian Day Parade with the Playful Pack of Central Virginia team, and then you can catch Animalance RVA over at the Sycamore Vet Fall Festival from 12 to 2!
Come say hey! I’d love to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones! ❤️

At Animalance, love shows up... and we mean that in every direction. There are people I come across through this work who just stand out to me. The ones who take an extra minute, notice what someone needs, help without making a big deal about it, and make things a little easier just because they can.

A lot of them are in veterinary medicine, but not all of them.
Some are people who have supported me, supported Animalance, or helped me keep doing this work in ways they probably don’t even realize, and when I see that in someone, I want them to know I see it.

Because love shows up in a lot of different ways, and some of it deserves to be named ❤️

Vestibular disease can be incredibly difficult for a dog to experience, with symptoms that often come on suddenly.
For 12-year-old Skyler, this meant losing his sense of balance and struggling to find his footing. Imagine feeling like everything around you is spinning, no matter how hard you try. And gosh, did this sweet boy try.
Twelve years of being his parents’ whole world, and a goodbye that came far too soon. My heart absolutely aches for his family.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Virginia Veterinary Centers for the compassion and care they showed Skyler and his family during such a heartbreaking time.
What a privilege it was to help you Skyler❤️

All hands on deck for our big guy🥰❤️ The team at Cladda Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Team was ready for us with all the support we needed and jumped right in to help Bane. Thank you guys for being so wonderful with him. So incredibly thankful for this crew!❤️

I have to give so much love to the team at Brandermill Animal Hospital They met us outside, and the second those ambulance doors opened, they were loving all over Cleadus. You could feel how much this boy meant to them and how hard this goodbye was for them too. And even through their own emotions, they were so kind and supportive. It was personal, compassionate care during one of the hardest moments a family can face.
It was an honor to be there for this little piece of Cleadus’ story and to share those final moments with a boy who was so very loved❤️

Such a fun day with The Lucky Paw Foundation !
The rain tried it 😂 but thankfully we were nice and dry inside! We loved getting to hang out with everyone and say THANK YOU for all the love and support you show Lucky Paw and Animalance RVA❤️
A big thank you to Central VA Friends of Petersburg Animal Care and Control for coming out with some of their adoptable pups!
And congratulations to Cathy Coday, winner of our raffle basket full of goodies!!
