Have you seen our new pink buses around town? This October, Ben Franklin Transit gathered names of survivors, thrivers, and those affected by breast cancer to transform a bus and a Dial-A-Ride vehicle into tributes of hope and resilience.

We thank all of our participants whose printed names are displayed on our Driven by Hope buses, and appreciate the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation for supporting local cancer patients and for their input on this project.

We were honored to unveil our new Driven by Hope Dial-A-Ride vehicle at Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month flag raising ceremony on October 1.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year BFT is raising awareness with the Driven By Hope bus and Dial-A-Ride. These vehicles are wrapped in pink and decorated with signatures of people in our community who have battled breast cancer. Signatures featured in the Driven By Hope artwork were collected at multiple community outreach events in 2026.

These vehicle wraps are a very visible reminder of the importance of breast cancer screenings, and of the hope that keeps patients fighting through a cancer diagnosis. If you see the 'pink buses' out on their routes, snap a picture and share it on social media with the hashtag !
