The Port of South Louisiana is representing the strength of all of Louisiana’s ports on the global stage!
Chief Commercial Officer Micah Cormier served as the designated port representative on a Louisiana Trade Mission to Japan focused on attracting Foreign Direct Investment and strengthening long-standing global partnerships.
Along with Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy Secretary Dustin Davidson, Louisiana Economic Development, Entergy Louisiana, Delta Utilities, Louisiana Industrial Engineers & Contractors, World Trade Center of New Orleans and regional economic development partners, this unified delegation showcased what makes Louisiana an unmatched destination for industry and investment.
From boardrooms to site visits, the mission engaged with some of Japan’s largest corporations; many with an existing footprint in Louisiana and others looking to expand their global reach.
The message is clear:
-Unparalleled connectivity via the Mississippi River system
-Direct access to inland North America’s industrial heartland
-Seamless links to global markets
-A logistics network that delivers efficiency, reliability, sustainability and competitive advantage.
Louisiana isn’t just connected. It’s strategically positioned to power the future of global trade!
