MEMORANDUM - Mountain View Fruit Sales (I.M. Ripe, Summeripe Summertime, and Summersweet) Is NOT Under FDA Investigation for Salmonella Enteritidis Outbreak

Subject: Regarding the FDA announcement dated 8/22/2020 referencing an “Outbreak Investigation of Salmonella Enteritidis: Peaches”

On August 22, 2020, Prima Wawona expanded their recall to include bagged and bulk, or loose, peaches that were supplied to retailers nationwide.

Prima Wawona states it is recalling “bulk/loose peaches distributed and sold from June 1 through August 3 and its bagged Wawona and Wawona Organic peaches distributed and sold from June 1 through August 19th because the products could possibly be contaminated with Salmonella.”

This memorandum serves to reconfirm and reassure fruit grown, marketed, or shipped by Mountain View Fruit Sales and affiliates is not involved in the FDA investigation of Salmonella Enteritidis. Our brands are Summeripe, Summertime Fresh, Summersweet, and I.M. Ripe (see attached image of brands).

The safety and quality of our products is our utmost priority, and currently we have no reason to believe any of our products are of concern or under investigation.
