Hauled some dirt for some great friends, got a couple loads from Crystal Creek Aggregate in Redding, had the truck washed at Royal Truck Wash, and took a load to Shingletown last week. What will this week bring? 😀

Pearl Harbor day seems like a good time to explain where the name "Liberty Belle" came from. It was the name of a B-17 that flew in WW2. We wanted to honor 1st Lt. Louis Brunnemer, who was a co-pilot on a B-24 in Europe during WW2. Unfortunately, his plane had an inappropriate name and picture, as most of them did. We found a plane name to honor him, as well as all the "Greatest Generation." Thank you to all who have served this great nation! May we never forget your sacrifice!

December 7th, 1941, a date which will live in infamy.

It was in this day, 80 years ago that the Empire of Japan launched a surprise attack on the Naval and Army bases in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This attack took the lives of 2,335 service members and 68 civilians.

Because of this attack the United States would declare war on the Empire of Japan and N**i Germany and formally enter the Second Wold War. That war would ultimately claim the lives of about 73 million people.

We remember those men and women who not only died during this attack, but thought the entire war as well. Without their courage and sacrifice, we would be living in a very different world.
