Coming Soon - Aggregated Delivery Services

Is designed to provide on-demand-like delivery and passenger services for communities not being served by today’s providers such as HEB, Walmart, Doordash, and Lyft.

GoKart-TX, a project of Pro Drivers Guild, Inc., is introducing ADS from the HEB and Walmart stores located in Harlingen. Orders can be delivered to homes and businesses located in the Raymondville and Lyford communities.

To use this service, please follow these instructions:

Create an account at our site so we know where to deliver your order. You can also establish a business account (Net 10 days) so we can send you an invoice for your company records.

Initially, we will offer deliveries on Mondays and Thursdays, with deliveries beginning at 4:00 pm to accommodate office hours and working folks.

The cost is $6.00/delivery. We accept cash and credit cards, including CashApp and Venmo.

We’ll let you know when we begin service, tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2024. Make sure you complete Step 1 so we can let you know for sure.

If you're from California and own a European car and live in the RGV, you'll find a dearth of competent mechanics who can work on these cars. Keep in mind that mechanics are not licensed by the state (BAR in CA), so be wary of anyone claiming that they know how to work on these cars.

I have been here since 2017, and other than the dealers, I know of less than five shops that I would recommend. One, in particular, impressed me when I sent my BMW for repairs last week. He got the job done quickly and his prices are reasonable. He gives you a parts list so that you can purchase them yourself or he can do it for you without any markup. That, right there, tells you a lot.

I do reviews for sites such as Consumer Reports, Google Maps and Yelp. Over 60k follow my reviews. This is the first time I have written a review on FB.

If you would like his contact info, please send me a message. His shop is in Pharr. Know any mechanic who works on EV's and hybrids you would recommend?

Note: As a CA ex-pat, I write from the point of view of a long-time CA resident. I don't mean to offend or be snotty. It's just that I may have a different perspective and point out contrasts, good and bad.

That being said, I hope anyone who is looking for the services I discuss will benefit. As always, buyer beware.

If you drive for Lyft, you should have received your "annual report" (not the official 1099) which provided you with some interesting information. The most useful info you can take from this is that it tells you what percentage of total revenues collected from your pax, including service fees, is more than 25%.

And if you compute your revenue per mile, keep in mind that the Federal reimbursement rate is about 60 cents/mi. This rate represents the average cost of operating a vehicle, including gas and depreciation. Any amount over that rate is what you are being paid for your time.

Assuming that you have no wait time, this is what Lyft is paying you to transport their pax. Why not increase your income by reducing wait times, keeping more of your income, and accepting rides we secure for you?

I don't often (if ever) agree w/Rep. Rand Paul (R-Ky), but on this one, I agree w/his efforts to remove the FISA clause. The original intent was to make it easier to go after terrorists, but like many 9/11-related laws, FISA has been abused and used, more often than not, to violate our civil rights.

If you agree, please contact your elected reps. It is renwed every five years.
