The Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority will give Cameron County control to make mobility decisions with the community, to accelerate needed transportation projects, and to enhance economic vitality and the quality of life for the residents of Cameron County and South Texas in a sustainable fashion.

During the meeting key updates on the Gateway Pedestrian Bridge, Flor de Mayo Bridge, and the Brownsville & Matamoros Bridge were provided. Together, we highlighted the strength of the Cameron County International Bridge System and the region’s six modes of transportation, reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing logistics, manufacturing, and global trade across South Texas.

CCRMA is proud to collaborate with regional partners including Rio South Texas Region and the Port of Brownsville, TX as we continue positioning Cameron County as a premier gateway for international commerce.

CAMERON COUNTY GETS THE GREEN LIGHT TO UPGRADE OLD ALICE ROAD WITH $40 MILLION IN FUNDING

Cameron County has received environmental clearance to begin a $40 million transformation of Old Alice Road. The project will convert the pothole-ridden two-lane path into a modern four-lane highway with sidewalks, connecting State Highway 550 to Los Fresnos and sparking new residential development.
