Another fun filled day in Australia, the land down under! Using Melbourne as a jumping off point, we set off for a long driving day along the famous Great Ocean Road with Hit the Road Tours!
Exploring the shipwreck coast early in the morning when the sun cast shadows on the lime stone coast was just beautiful! We hiked along 12 Apostles Coast, Gibson Steps, Loch Ard Gorge, and The Razorback. Switched up gears and then headed for Maits Rest to do the rainforest walk to see the world’s tallest flowering plant, the Mountain Ash! Lunched at Apollo Bay, one of the coastal towns and then our guide took is to a place to look for koalas and kangaroos in the wild!

A day filled with Aussie wildlife encounters, dramatic coastal landscapes and board walks makes for a perfect day for me! I can not say enough wonderful things about our tour guide Adam and his company Australian Journeys!
Hanging out with wallabies,feeding the kangaroos, petting the koalas, and walking amongst the penguins at Phillips Island was amazing. A beautiful sunshiny day where we were able to hear about koalas, cockatoos, dingles and wombats at Moonlight Sanctuary! Explored Phillips Island at the Nobbies where the fairy penguins like to hang out and enjoyed a typical Aussie fish and chips lunch in San Remo of gummy shark!
Ended the day at Brighton beach boxes off Melbournes coast and watched the many kite flyers on the beach!

The fam says THIS is one of the their most favorite excursions we have ever done as a family! I can say getting up at 2:30 am to enjoy a hot air balloon ride with Global Ballooning Melbourne was definately a trip I’d recommend! All of us helped in the set up and take down and we soared over the beautiful Yarra Valley Wine region. It was peaceful and quiet up there and I am so thankful for getting to explore the beauty of Gods creation! The highlight for me was landing in a field of wild kangaroos that we could see all throughout the journey!

Australia has been on my bucket list for many years now! For so many years I have dreamed of seeing the kangaroos, koalas, wombats and experiencing the many natural parks, sweeping beaches and diverse landscapes!
I am excited to share some of the beautiful sights we have seen so far and of course as always I like to experience first hand the places our agency recommends! Enjoy this week in Australia with us!

What a beautiful day for a gondola ride over the vineyards, wine tasting, Lahneck castle tour and then an afternoon of cruising the Rhine Gorge, a stretch along the Rhine with over 40 castles! Absolutely stunning…

Heidelberg is a vibrant city located in the western part of Germany famous for its castle ruins and university, the oldest in Germany! Enjoyed some German beer and pretzels today too! Then sailed away and went through a lot of locks along the Rhine!
