Well at 2:19 pm today it will be officially Fall. Saturday was a rough one. NE wind which makes fishing difficult by itself. But add in 10 to 15 mph winds and it was definitely a grind. We managed to tuck up inside the river to get out of the wind. We found a few spot but not many and the bite was definitely slow. But we did find a couple keeper croaker. Roberto caught a 14 incher. That’s the biggest I have seen in quite a few years. The wind layed down some but not enough.The plan was to live line for Rockfish. So off we went. Wind and waves made it tough to position properly. But we gave it our best and was rewarded with a nice Striped Bass just under the 24 inch keeper maximum. Bottom fishing is slowing down with the cooler weather so we will be focusing mainly on Stripers until the winter closure. Now is a good time for jigging and chasing breakers. We will still be live lining but we will be buying our spot ahead of time. There will be additional charges for that but we will work it out with you ahead of time so you don't have any unexpected fees at the time of your trip.

Well Fall is in the air! The fish are transitioning to their fall patterns and starting to feed up for the winter. The wind has been blowing but we still have gotten out on some days. Live lining is still catching some nice Striped Bass and so is jigging. We have Sunday Sept 21 am open. Live lining or jigging your choice. We are also booking Oct. thru December. Rockfish is closed after today till Aug1. Bottom fishing is great lots of big spot around. We have July 18 am available .Aug1 we will be back looking for Stripers and also offering Southern trips out of Hoppers Island. We will be looking for bluefish and Spanish mackerel. With the possibility of Redfish. Walk on Trips will be $225 per person need 2 to go. You can book the boat private for $700 4 people max. All weather dependent as it can get nasty quick down there. Today the Rockfish fish bite was on fire!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥 Got a 5 man limit for the clients and and threw many over 24s back. Largest of the day was a 28 1/4.
