🚨 Tar Spot Alert! 🚨
These photos were taken just days apart in the same corn field — a clear example of how fast tar spot can spread. 🌽⚠️

If you're scouting and only seeing a few lesions, don't wait. Left unchecked, tar spot can quickly impact plant health, stalk quality, and yield potential.

🔴 Conditions have been ideal for disease development: warm temps, humidity, and extended leaf wetness.
🔴 Hybrid tolerance helps — but it’s not a silver bullet.
🛡️ Now’s the time to evaluate fungicide timing and how past applications are holding up. Fungicides won’t cure infected tissue but they can slow down disease spread.

📍Confirmed in Quarryville, PA but we encourage scouting across the region.

🌽 POST-TASSEL CROP TOUR RECAP 🌽
Yesterday, we hosted the Mid-Atlantic Camp Post-Tassel Crop Tour as part of our Total Acre journey—focusing on crop progress, tissue sampling results, and late-season management strategies that influence final yield.

It was an honor to have David Hula, world-record corn grower, walk fields with us, challenge assumptions, and share insights on how to take crops from good to great.

We’re dialing in the details to finish the season strong 💪

🚩 Flag Testing Corn: A Simple Step That Reveals a Lot 🌽
Ever wonder how uniform your emergence really is? Flag testing is a quick, eye-opening way to find out.

By placing a different-colored flag next to each plant as it emerges (day 1, day 2, day 3…), you’ll clearly see how even—or uneven—your stand is. That “small” delay of just 24–48 hours can mean big differences in plant height, ear size, and ultimately yield.

🌱 Why it matters:
✅ Uniform emergence = better competition, higher yield
✅ Helps identify issues with planting depth, seed-to-soil contact, residue, or fertility

We’re flag testing across a few fields this spring—ask us how you can try it too!

🌽 Thinking about adding something extra to your corn hopper this spring?
Give your seed a head start with one of our go-to seed treatments:
🔹 GroPak A.I. (6 lb pail) – Biological + nutrient blend that improves seed flow and supports germination and emergence. Replaces talc.
🔹 Protivate NU4-DRI (9.4 lb pail) – Nutrient-packed seed lubricant designed to replace talc.

🌱 Spring Readiness Checklist
We’re here to help you make the most of every acre this season:

✅ Cutting small grain forages? Still within the pre-harvest window? A second nitrogen shot can push protein and forage quality.

✅ Fertilizer Planning: Fine-tune your starter program with custom 2x2 or in-furrow blends, or let us build dry fertilizer blends based on your soil samples and yield targets.

✅ Custom Application:
– Spreading: Feed pastures and hay fields before first cutting and get your pre-plant fertilizer scheduled for corn and soybeans.

– Spraying: Burndown and high-performance wheat management (Pallisade) are underway—get on the schedule.

✅ Planter Prep:
– Stock up on GroPak A.I. (3–4 oz/unit for corn & soybeans)

– Clean meters, check seed spacing/depth, and make sure your starter system is ready.

✅ Seed & Additives:
– Channel Seed corn and soybean varieties in stock (available while supplies last)

– Energizer Molasses available for foliar applications, starter blends and tank mixes.

Blending, delivery, and service you can count on!
