Specializing in direct transport of individual or family groups so each animal can be provided personal attention. Previously worked for 35 years in EMS and now am looking forward to enjoy more time with special animals on the road. As a paramedic I learned the importance of being prepared and being (sometimes overly) cautious when making those preparations. Animals will experience stress during shipping and I will do whatever I can to minimize that. Sometimes it may mean I will have to delay transport of your animal to avoid extending shipping time of other animals already in my care and maybe arranging a separate trip to avoid possible biohazard concerns, maybe it will require a special crate or cage that I will need to acquire or perhaps will need to be provided by the shipper. Caring for animals of any kind is an enormous responsibility and one I don't take lightly. I have done my best to equip my vehicle with additional safety and comfort aids and know it will be an evolving process as new equipment is developed and becomes available to add. My weak point is undoubtedly my social media skills but I am working on them and hope you all are patient as they improve, until then I will continue to rely on more direct communications so please contact me via email, messenger, phone or text to discuss your transportation needs.

I wanted to post this great transport company, I am off for foreseeable future due to medical and this is my go to company for referrals. They operate right, animal care and safety is absolute priority, health certs are required for every passenger.
If any of you have trouble finding transport when I am off you can still reach out to me and I will do what I can to help you find a safe alternative!

National English Shepherd Rescue was a rescue I knew of before I even started transport, and one of the earliest I connected with when I started my business. I have English Shepherds, and already knew the community, so I was really happy when I was able to do a difficult trip for them and it went so well. Since that first trip I have done many, many more and can say I appreciate all they do so much! They are a breed specific rescue, though I know they have helped many, many dogs who were ES but were ESy and needed them. This group works nationwide to evaluate, rescue, rehab and rehome dogs in need. Even if you aren't an English Shepherd person you can appreciate the hard work that has gone into building such a wide network to provide a safe landing for dogs in need. There are similar networks set up for almost all breeds, I have worked with several, including Corgi and German shepherd and fox terriers. All of these rescues are in need of the same things... people willing to help foster (even short term), transport or donate materials or money, to help the dogs. I chose to share NESR today because they were the first, but I ask that all of you consider helping out your own breed's local or even national rescue. Sometimes dogs do best when handled by people who are familiar with the breed's quirks or tendencies, maybe that can be you!

Michigan residents- NESR needs fosters in MI. Multiple individual ES need help. We can't do it without you. Please contact Kim directly with any questions at [email protected]

What can I say about New Hope Rescue, Inc and it's founder Jenny Palmer Rogers ?? I can never say ENOUGH! This woman is a force of nature when it comes to boots on the ground rescue! She does the dirty work, and there is no dog or cat they won't help. If there are babies needing care she gets them AND THE MAMMA! So many leave the adults behind but she doesn't! Mange, parvo, heartworm??? She pulls them in and gives them care, her and a small group of dedicated helpers go out and trap the ones who need it, pick them up from roadsides or abandoned homes, crawl under the porches... WHATEVER needs done. This is the rescue many don't see. It is dirty, hard and sometimes heartbreaking, but Jenny still gets it done. I wish I lived 700 miles closer so I could help more, but I can certainly share and hope that maybe some of my followers are close enough to help, or willing to share, or maybe to foster in the north? Or provide transport help if a dog needs to head your way. Anything helps! I can't stress that enough.

Next up on my 'rescues I want to share' list is Perfect Imperfections
Anyone who follows me knows this rescue means the world to me, Trisha Christolini Malfitano is a 1 woman army who somehow manages to rescue SO many special needs dogs it is mind blowing. I have been at her home so many times on transport, often sitting down for a cup of coffee while visiting with her and her crew to catch up on everyone. She also works with local animal control to help as an emergency safe haven and a safety net for dogs who maybe need something extra even if not technically special needs. She does ths hard stuff, I have seen it first hand, I have called her after pickup and told her there were more problems than expected with a new dog and her reply is slways "that's OK, we will figure it out when you get here' , I have called her to discuss problems with food or care that we weren't expecting and she ALWAYS gets me the answers I need so I can stop and get different food or care products to make the trip safer. It is ALWAYS about what is best for the pups. I don't know how she does it but if I can introduce one new follower or supporter to her I am happy to repost her again and again! Please go look at her page and read back through her posts, she desperately needs help with fosters and sharing to get out the eord on her dogs. Her home is beyond full but she still found a spot for another pup in need but without more support she will have to halt intake. It is an unfortunate reality in rescue right now.

I closed intake of new dogs but will always try to take local dogs in need. There is a dog with Megaesophagus Whoes owner suddenly passed away. I can not help unless I find adopters or fosters. Please share this post !!❤️

Hi everyone! I know I have been quiet... kinda going through a rough patch medically but getting better. I had surgery in June to repair a dislocation of my collarbone from my sternum (yep, it's rare but can happen, I am lucky that way, lol) .
So though I am off the road for the foreseeable future it doesn't mean I am not thinking of the animals still in need. I want to share a few posts from some rescues I have worked with and wholeheartedly support. These are rescues who stand behind their animals 100%, they take the animals most in need (especially mamas and seniors! And special needs) And they walk the walk, they have full houses and empty bank accounts because they do the hard things. There are many out there who do similar, please do due diligence so you know that money you donate is going to the animals, not the ad campaign managers and CEOs!
I believe it is easiest to share one of their recent posts so you can go to their page and see what they are about. The ones I link are ones I have personally worked with many times. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions. These people are top notch and I am proud of what they do and wish I could win the lottery for all of them!
First to share is Rescued Rollers , an awesome small rescue in west central Ohio who specialize in disabled dogs of all types. They have hearts of gold and host monthly live events called "Coffee with the crew" to give updates on their dogs, cover topics of interest and answer questions about their rescue or rescue issues in general. Please join their next LIVE Saturday morning to see what they are about!

Good morning from Miss Mila and our entire crew. 😊 This Saturday, July 11 at 10am is our monthly livestream. Come meet Maverick and learn about his history and current care plan. We’ve got a very busy few weeks ahead of us, including Rescued Rollers 10th anniversary. Please join us on the livestream to get all the latest updates.

A different experience last month (and I am not referring to the unfortunate case of flu that floored saw me stuck 2 days in a hotel while on the road).
A rescue I have worked with before asked me to help with a special trip. Meet a rescue flight at a New York airport and move 6 lucky dogs on up to Maine. These dogs were from California kill shelters, and their breeds/sizes were almost sure to have them euthanized, but they were the lucky ones and moved to Maine for new lives! It was a cool experience and rewarding!

It is amazing how two pups, so similar, can have such differing lives and potential futures. I had 2 adorable german shepherd pups on the same trip ( dropped one off late on a Friday and picked up the other the next morning). The good news is that both have ended up in wonderful forevers, the scary part is that one had a medical issue and was basically abandoned by a breeder who didn't want bothered with his care. Thank goodness that a rescue stepped up, a special foster stepped up and I was lucky enough to be in the right place to be able to get him onto my trip to get him to the special needs rescue he needed! Many pups are not as lucky. Please consider fostering!!! Sometimes it may only be for a few days waiting for transport to be available. You never know when those few days may be the difference between life and death for a dog in need. This pup would have died if no foster had been available to step in and start lifesaving care until transport. Most times that foster care isn't medical, this was an exceptional case, but the foster care ABSOLUTELY makes a difference, sometimes 1 day, sometimes 10... PLEASE consider reaching out to a rescue if you can help.
Two pups, 2 happy endings, but 2 very different paths. They both deserved all of the love!

I have been busy this later spring finishing out contracts and enjoying the dogs I have been privileged to have as passengers on the van. From rescues to rehomes to new additions, all were special!
