People always ask what is the best oil? I read and study that question for hours and hours, knowing that in today's world of technology that is a complicated question. There are so many tests used to evaluate oils that you almost need a chemistry degree or more to understand it all. I think there are 3 tests that stand out: Noack Volatility Test, Total Base Number, and the Kinematic Viscosity Test. Amsoil is #1 in all those.

The results are in: about 1800 laps, about 70 races in 3 years. 1 track championship, 1 second. Oil change every 5 races. And no transmission/differential failures.

Finally.

Well it's been a journey with this 350 Chevy. Backfiring, running rough, low on power, and vacuum guage at 18 and wavering. Now: much better running with 22 pounds of vacuum and 1 pound of wavering, the engine just seems stronger, changed to a 68 jet and about to go to a 72, occasional exhaust backfire but I need to change out the plugs. I knew what it probably was but didn't want to go there. The problem was the timing chain ...get out of there.
