It's quite the grey afternoon on the lake but we have some excellent news! 🌞
THE NEW DOCK IS OPEN!!
All customers who have paid your deposit and have picked a spot can now put your boat in the slip. Our new security gate is up but we will not be locking it for a couple of weeks and slip renters will receive the lock code.

D dock UPDATE
The new dock is closer to completion and the electric is being ran at this time. For those already approved for the new slips, please remember the dock is NOT available until we pass Corp inspection after all of the work is completed..

We love our little post office ❤️

Connections are what brings Joan Bray back to the Protem Post Office.

It might seen natural, given that connections are fundamentally a post office's work, but that mission goes deeper for Joan. It's connections with others that keep the 85-year-old still coming to the office six days a week. She's the only operator of the rural Taney County post office, one of a dwindling number still tucked inside rural general stores.

"I really like working with people and helping people, and that's why it's so special," she says of the small office where she gets to know everyone. "There's some new ones that's coming in, that's building or coming into the area, but they come in and visit with me. So you get to know everybody."
