Anyone can find a deal online. Finding the right resort is a different job entirely, and that is the part I love. Here are a few things I wish every traveller knew before they started scrolling.

🍹 A cheap vacation usually tastes like one.
The lowest price often comes with watered-down drinks, bottom-shelf liquor, and a buffet you are tired of by day two.That extra bit of budget is often where the real vacation lives.

🛏️ Your room is more than a place to sleep.
You will start every morning there and end every night there. A fresh, quiet room with a view, a balcony to sit on with your coffee, or a swim-up door can change how the whole week feels.

📍 "All-inclusive" means something different at every resort.
Some resorts include room service, top-shelf drinks, and every restaurant on the property. Others charge extra for those or make you book dinner days ahead. The beach might be calm and sandy, or it might be rocky with heavy waves and sargassum. Some places are peaceful by ten, while others turn into a party once the sun goes down.

📅 Timing can save you more than shopping around.
Holidays and spring break push prices up fast, Prices also shift daily, so a quote is only secure once the deposit or payment is made.

My clients just booked The Level at Meliá Casa Maya in Cancún, I am a little envious!!

The resort sits right on the beach and the ocean view rooms have balconies looking out over the Caribbean.The kids get a water park with a waterslide. The adults get a cabana on the sand, four restaurants to work through, and a spa that draws on traditional Mayan treatments. Staying in The Level means my clients also have their own VIP lounge to escape to.
