Route #9 will be running late this afternoon, 5/9/24. A bus had mechanical issues in the school parking lot and a replacement bus is being routed to transport the students home. This post will be updated with time estimates. [Update: it is running 3-5 minutes late. The replacement bus arrived sooner than anticipated.]

At last nights Crook County Girl's basketball game, one of our drivers was honored. Here is how it went:

Kerry York we need you down here on the floor

We would like to take a minute and thank Mr. York as he is going to be retiring from the transportation department and driving our cowgirls to their games.
He's been driving for 10 years. His last day is February 29th. He has always driven the girls to their games. He is fond of his basketball and softball teams.

And we greatly appreciate his dedication to our girls and their safety getting them to and from games.

The girls surprised him with a shirt, hat, snacks, flowers, balloons and cards.

Attention Parents & Guardians of Elementary Students who are Bus Riders:

Students who ride the bus have lanyards with their name and bus route on it. This is attached to their backpacks.
Please make sure they carry their backpacks to and from school. We use these lanyards to identify them and where they're to go to after school. If they don't have this with them, they are being sent back to the office to get one. This slows the afternoon busing down and the buses are on a schedule to get back to pick up Middle School and High School Students.

Route #2 for the Middle School and High School is running 20 minutes to half hour late this morning. The first bus broke down and it takes that long to pretrip another. Thank you for your patience.
