As you know, the B Store is growing beyond bikes. Many of you have seen the Little Free Libraries in our front windows, our second "B" — books. Bikes and books, haha! This week we're having a little fun to celebrate LIttle Free Library Week. Check out the flyer below for all the details.

It's Little Free Library week! Did you know our founder, Rick Brooks, also helped start Little Free Library? We have over 30 in Princeton, of all kinds — including pantries, pet supplies, the mini red covered bridge. To celebrate, Little Free Library is having a contest to win a $50 gift card to Thriftbooks. We are collecting completed bingo sheets for a chance to win $100 to Little Free Library. Hey, folks! One of our other B Store programs, the Big Read, is having an event tomorrow at 1PM in Warnecke Woods just north of town — a fun little bike ride. Check it out!

The romantic poets believed that true poetry is an overflow of emotion reflected upon in the tranquility of nature — so we're going to give it a shot! Join us tomorrow at 1PM as we wander through the Warnecke Woods with pollinator expert Ellen Starr and writing instructor Kayla Greenwell. Take in the landscape around you, listen to some poetry, and maybe even venture to write one of your own.

We will be over at True Leaves Bookshop - Princeton, IL tomorrow from 5-7PM celebrating National Indie Bookstore Day! We're co-hosting a poetry and storytelling open mic, and the first 10 attendees will get a free copy of our Big Read program book: Ada Limon's anthology "You Are Here: Poetry in the Natural World!" Learn more about upcoming "Big Read" events, share your words with the world, and support one of the magical places on earth: your local bookstore.

We've got fun stuff going on over at IVCC today, if you're in the area! Come say hi, learn about the Big Read, and grab a free copy of the book. :)

This afternoon, join us from 1-2PM at IVCC's Jacobs Library for a poetry open mic and discussion of Ada Limon's We Are Here Poetry anthology! The event is free and open to the public -- and the student art show is going on today as well, so you could make it an artsy afternoon! Free copies of the book will be available on a first come, first served basis. Message us for more information on the Big Read!

Every year we give bikes to hundreds of people who need one -- Children from here to Africa (really!), seniors, refugee families and families recovering from natural disasters, people needing transportation... and that is because of wonderful people like yourself. You certainly have our gratitude! 99.9% of our bikes are donated every year by the lovely people in Princeton and the surrounding areas, but the magic that makes this all possible is our Pedal it Forward program.
