The hull sides underwent a bleaching treatment to achieve a uniform stain between new and original planks. The hull was then stained with a Century filler stain.

1961 Century Sabre underwent stem repair, featuring new oak battens in the front section. The port and starboard bow sections were refitted with new planking. All new planking required steam bending into place, followed by shaping to fit. The vessel is now ready for hullside fairing and finish sanding.
