There’s more to Eugene than meets the eye.

If you know where to look, you’ll find decades of history tucked between record bins, vintage racks, retro arcades, and some of Oregon’s most iconic film locations.

Our Eugene Retro Day itinerary was created for curious travelers who love discovering places with character. Start with breakfast at the legendary Brail’s Restaurant (serving Eugene since 1948), then spend the day browsing vintage treasures at Bumble Boutique Vintage and Emerald Valley Relics, where local owners Sarah and Billy Reed have created destinations worth visiting in their own right.

Celebrate Eugene’s identity as TrackTown USA with a stop inside The Graduate Eugene, home to a remarkable collection of vintage Nike track spikes, historic Nike memorabilia, and The Trophy Room restaurant.

Need a little nostalgia? Challenge your friends at Blairally Vintage Arcade, then flip through thousands of records at House of Records, one of Eugene’s longtime vinyl institutions.

And if you’re a film fan, don’t stop there.

Download the SetJetters app and follow the Oregon Film Trail to discover filming locations throughout Eugene. If you have a little extra time, continue about 45 minutes south to Cottage Grove, home to even more iconic filming locations, including scenes from Stand by Me.

We believe the best way to experience a destination isn’t by checking off attractions it’s by following the stories that made it memorable.

Oregon still has a way of surprising us.

As part of the Explore side of Sip, Savor, Explore Oregon, I’ve been diving into Oregon’s rich film history. The more I learn, the more I realize I’ve been standing in the backdrop of cinematic moments for two decades.

Image 1: Indian Beach at Ecola State Park transformed into Australia’s Bells Beach in “Point Break” and La Push in “Twilight”, just minutes from iconic “The Goonies” filming locations.

Image 2: Vista House at Crown Point overlooks the Columbia River Gorge, home to the breathtaking landscapes featured in “Wild” and is one of Oregon’s most cinematic regions.

Image 3: Bridge of the Gods, an official Oregon Film Trail stop, marks the unforgettable ending of “Wild” and also appears in “Twilight”.

It’s incredible how Oregon’s landscapes have become characters in stories loved around the world. I’m just getting started with app along the , and I can’t wait to continue exploring the places where unforgettable films came to life…in Oregon and beyond! 🌎 🎥 ❤️
