New restaurant review! This review is my opinion only…if you love this place, good for you!

Travel Tony visited the Angry Crab Shack in Orange Beach Saturday night. Overall rating ->>>> 3.6 out of 5 stars.

Pros:
- live music
- cold beer
- decent service

Cons:
- a bit pricey (but it’s the beach)
- lots of “we are out of that item”
- quality of food was mediocre

This place threw us a curve ball. Weird menu that included the standard coastal offerings, but their specialty is seafood “boils”. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate a good boil, but nothing about the restaurant name gives this away. This place reminded me of the Genghis Grill…pick your ingredients, pick your sauce/flavors, we cook it up for you.

If you are in a hurry for some *meh* seafood, this is your place! If you are into the “Cajun, let’s put everything in the pot with a ton of spices”, kind-of-person, this is your place! Otherwise, stay away from this “pretender” of a coastal seafood restaurant!

If you find yourself in Pensacola, and like fresh seafood, then Maria’s Fresh Seafood Market is a MUST!!!

Tony always stops here to grab some fresh “jumbos” to boil up and enjoy while hitting the beach.

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, Travel Tony gets a lot of perks. During Covid, many hotels closed their lounges and reduced services.

Even though the Baton Rouge Marriott’s lounge is open, it has reduced hours and their selections leave a lot to be desired.

2.5/5 stars for this lounge.
