Update on Rodney 6/14/22 Rodney and I have had to make some decisions for his care. With insurance we had to make the decision to put Rodney in a nursing home or take him home - we have made the decision to come home Saturday, June 18th. Rodney still has along road ahead of him and we will make this journey together. Please continue prayers as we start this new journey.

Update on Rodney 6/6/22 - today we have been here 188 days and Rodney took a few steps today - he did really great. He is getting stronger everyday.

Update on Rodney 3/14/22 - he is going to be moved by ambulance to extended care for rehab. Their going to work on getting him stronger. He still has his feeding tube and his draining tube. He is on 3 liters oxygen. They started him on a medication to help him want to eat. As of today he has been here 104 days this go around. Please continue prayers for him.

Update on Rodney 3/2/22 - it’s been a tough couple of days - Rodney has gout in both feet (it’s worse in the right foot) on Monday they took him down to do another swallow study, his catheter bag feel in floor and the bed got locked on it, when they went to pull him off the bed the hose got pulled - his private part started bleeding. They put lanacane jell they’re to help with the pain. Yesterday morning they decided to take it out and blood started squirting everywhere. They got it under control and put another catheter in - it’s still leaking blood around the hose - he’s having to have another unit of blood now - please pray. This is all on top of what’s already going on. He takes a step forward and three steps back. I know GOD has a plan.

Update on Rodney 2/27/22 - his Covid test came back negative today, yay - one of the lung doctors came in today and said the covid has caused damage to his lungs. The respiratory therapist came in two times today working on exercises on his lungs. His liver is doing good, ascites is still draining into his stomach and lungs. His creatinine level is low and their still giving him latex. He is still on blood pressure medication to keep his blood pressure up. Please continue prayers. He has been here 89 days today.

Update on Rodney 2/22/22 - today they put a Gastro-Jejunal (G-J) Tube in his belly for food and medicine - his bottom looks pretty bad, there going to start wound vac tomorrow (doing it Monday, Wednesday, & Friday) he got a new air bed and new pillow for his head. He has a sore on the back of his head that there watching now. He has lost another 10 pounds, he weighs 156 pounds now. He's still weak and gets confused. There still giving him medicine to keep blood pressure up and watching heart rate - oxygen level is getting better (slowly), he has to wear a bi-pap mask when he is sleeping. Please continue prayers

Update on Rodney 2/14/22 the pulmonologist (lung doctors)came in this evening and they are concerned with his lungs. The Coronavirus (Covid) is causing a lot of lung damage. He has a infection in his chest and they have him on two different antibiotics. His liver is doing good but he has ascites draining into his stomach and lungs. His creatinine level is low and their giving him latex to help get urine out. They said his kidney and liver are doing okay. Please continue prayers. He has been here 76 days today.

Update on Rodney 2/10/22 - the last couple of days Rodney has been more agitated and aggravated - he’s been pulling iv’s out , trying to pull tubes out and so forth. His C02 levels have been high - they pulled fluid off his right lung yesterday evening so his lung may be able to expand more. He is on the bi-pap machine to force air into his lungs. Today they had to give him some medication to calm him down. The doctor said he’s getting better slowly. Just taking things one day at a time. Please continue prayers. He has been here 72 days today.

Update 2/7/22 - Rodney has been moved to Clinical protocols of the cardiovascular division ICU - his heart rate keeps dropping down in the 30’s, his o2 level keeps dropping to 88 and his c02 keeps coming up - he needs lots of prayers
