Beginning on August 24, 2026, Ness Corner Road will be closed in both directions between Shotwell Pl and Chimacum Creek Dr. This is a long-term closure that will affect JTA Routes 1 Brinnon and 7 Poulsbo. Both of these routes will be on deviation until the project is completed. This closure is expected to last two months. You can view deviation maps below. Rider alerts will be published on Aug 24.

Last week, JTA staff attended the Washington State Public Transportation Conference, celebrating 50 years of Public Transportation in Washington State!

The conference brings together transit agencies from across Washington State for educational sessions, networking, a Vendor Expo, and the State Roadeo.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate our Wall of Fame honorees, Chris and Leah, at the awards banquet! We’re proud to recognize their hard work and dedication to JTA.

A big thank you to the Washington State Transit Association (WSTA) and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), as well as the host agency Pierce Transit for all the hard work that went into planning this year’s conference. We enjoyed connecting with colleagues from across the state and look forward to attending again next year!
