Another Tuesday, another beautiful sunrise at Terminal 1 🌅⚓

Last week, we welcomed the T/V CE and barge Betsy Arntz back to Terminal 1 bright and early at 6:30 a.m. Calm water, clear skies and stellar conditions made for a smooth visit.

Not a bad way to start the day on the Port Angeles waterfront!

Taking off with more progress at William R. Fairchild International Airport! ✈️

Major paving for the Taxiway A Rehabilitation project is complete, with the next round of paving coming up in early September.

From rehabilitated pavement to upgraded LED lighting and improved signage, these improvements will help make the airfield safer and more reliable for years to come.

Progress continues at our Intermodal Handling & Transfer Facility!

🪵 The log ramp concrete slab, retaining wall, and final site grading are complete.
🪵 The first stormwater treatment tank has been poured.
🪵 Next up: a second treatment tank and major paving this September.

These improvements will help reduce stormwater runoff, improve drainage, and protect Port Angeles Harbor for the long term.

Happy Terminal Tuesday 🌅

Last week, our terminal team was up before the sun to keep things moving at Terminal 3. An early morning chip loading made for a pretty great sunrise!

Sometimes, the only way is through ⚓️

While transporting this Buoy to the MTC, our Boat Yard team had to navigate past another travel lift in the yard. With some careful coordination, we made our way through and kept the job moving.

Just another example of making it work at the Port Angeles Boat Yard for this week’s Marina Monday!

Another Clallam County Fair in the books 🎡🎢

The Port was proud to support the 31st Annual Pro Logging Show through our Community Partner Program. This longtime event celebrates the Olympic Peninsula’s rich forestry heritage, bringing skilled competitors from across the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia and Alaska together to showcase historic logging skills.

Marine terminal operations are 24/7!

At 2 a.m. on Sunday, the Tug Severn, pushing petroleum barge DBL 311, arrived at Terminal 1. Our Marine Operations team and local longshoremen were there to safely assist with the arrival and tie-up.

Day or night, we keep maritime operations moving. 🚢
