Applications are arriving daily. We use the post mark time and date from the post office to determine order of application. So get yours in NOW. See application form for details on how to fill out and what to do with it.

Well, its time to announce Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy 2026. It is going to happen.

This year it is slightly changed. No more "going into 6th" grade classes! Instead we have a new middle school class for "going into 7th" and "going into 8th" students called Basic Pilot Training. It is not just PILOT training orientation but that is the emphasis. See the 2 photos called "Class Descriptions" for more info.

The high school age classes are similar to the last couple of years for pilots. A prep class for taking flying lessons meets the week of June 15-19 followed by a Flying Lessons class the week of June 22-26.

For all of these classes we are upgrading our already "excellent" space and airplane flight simulators even more making the flight sims very much like the airplanes our student will fly when taking flying lessons.

To apply: copy and print the "Application for Enrollment" 2026 embedded in the photos. Fill it out, attach the tuition and put it in snail mail no earlier than February 15 and no later than March 15. Class sizes are limited so get yours in FIRST. If you prefer, email me and I will send you a blank application form attached to a return email.

This is a pre-announcement for Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy (NOFA) 2026. Details will be posted here on February 1, 2026. They will say that registration opens February 15, 2026 and closes March 15, 2026 for the 2 high school pilot classes. 1)(APT Airplane Pilot Training) which is a non-flying prep class for actual FLYING LESSONS and 2)AFL (Airplane Flying Lessons) the actual flying lessons.
We are working on the Middle School version of NOFA and are recruiting for qualified staff for this very important version of NOFA. If your student is going to complete 6th-8th grade at the beginning of summer, check back here often for more info. In fact, feel free to email me at blantonb610@gmail to let me know about your student(s) and inquire about the status of MS NOFA.

Well, registration has closed for 2025 flight academy. We will wait a couple of more days for all the mail to arrive and then send postcards out confirming everyone's enrollment. If you are nervous about it, just email me and I will confirm by reply email.

We have had a great response from last year's students wishing to return this year so I hope everyone got in that wanted to.

See you all this summer. We are going to have an exciting and rewarding time. Maybe even just fun.

YES! We are going to have another great Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy this summer of 2025.

It consists of classes for anyone going into grade 6-12 next fall. There are 3 weeks of classes. The first week is June 16-20 (8:30 am-3 pm) and is for the younger students. The second week is June 23-27 (also 8:30 am -3 pm) and is for those slightly older who may have attended before. The third week is Airplane Flying Lessons (6am-3 pm) for High School age students(15 or over) who HAVE attended before of have the equivalent knowledge. They will each get loggable dual flight instruction in an airplane with a CFI along with other pilot training ground activities..

The included photo of the application form has almost everything you may want to know...dates, eligibility, and tuition.

3-1-2024: Well, another 2024 Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy class has filled up-Airplane Flying Lessons. Postmark deadline for all classes is March 15, 2024 which is 2 days from now. Still space in AAT, DPT, and AMT which are all EXCELLENT classes. Bert: 580-716-6443 or [email protected].

Today is March 11, 2024: The class called BAT as well as the class called APT are both full and therefore closed. Since no one has applied for SFT it has also been closed.

There is still space in AAT, DPT, AMT and AFL.

Feb 29, 2024: Sorry to say the class called APT (Airplane Pilot Training) is now FULL and enrollment is closed in it. Other classes are still open but a couple of them are approaching full., also. You still have until March 15 to apply UNLESS they fill up so get your application in the mail ASAP. Bert.

Registration for summer 2024 is NOW open. Some classes already have students. PLEASE don't wait too long as some may fill up pretty fast. We have limited time and limited room so the classes are mostly pretty small.

We think this Flight Academy will be the best one ever (we always say that and are rarely wrong), so get those applications filled out and in the mail.

NORTHERN OKLAHOMA FLIGHT ACADEMY
Today is February 7, 2023. The pandemic is not “over” but thanks to inoculations and other factors it has subsided to the point that we believe we can hold our best-ever summer flight camp for grades 6-12.
We call it Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy and this summer is our 17th camp. The first one was in 2004 but we missed 2 summers during the worst of the pandemic. It is a one week DAY camp. M-F 8:30am-3:00pm.
So, as always, this camp will fill up very fast. If you look at the attached photos of the Description of Classes, the Registration Form and the Brochure you will see that this camp covers several weeks during the summer. That is because we have added several NEW topics or possible career fields in flight.
That means that you will have to choose the field of study your student is interested in and then apply as early as possible to improve your chances of getting in. We only take a maximum of 8 students per class. There may be more than one class which might interest your student.
Registration opens Wednesday February 15, 2023. The procedure to apply is that you fill out an application completely for each student, attach a check or money order for the listed tuition, and put it in the USPS mail on February 15. We will use the postmark as the application date. You can print out the .jpg of the application in the photos on Facebook, pick up a hardcopy at the Ponca City Airport terminal building lobby in a display holder, or email us at [email protected] and we will email one back. Registration closes March 31, 2023.
