There are many examples of women inventors, and their work influences us today.
The field of science is seen as predominantly male, but this is just one example of an area where women have long excelled.
Maria Beasley (May 21, 1817 – December 15, 1891) was an American inventor and entrepreneur who invented the modern, compact, fireproof, easy-to-use, and efficient lifeboat with metal capable of floating and sailing over long distances in a really safe way.
Lifeboat:
In 1882, Maria Beasely thought it was time people stopped dying tragically in maritime accidents and invented lifeboats which, along with the barrel-making machine, made her very rich indeed.
In the mid-19th century, a lifeboat was little more than a wooden board with oars for escaping a sinking ship.
The effectiveness of his invention was proven in an extreme way during the Titanic disaster, in which his boat avoided hundreds of deaths...
