At this time Toad Holler Firewood is on hiatus. We will not be cutting wood or stocking the kiosk for the foreseeable future. We may get back into this at some time in the future.

This is the stump of a big old white ash tree that I felled a couple of years ago. Like most of my wood, this tree was killed by the emerald ash borer.

New growth coming from the stump now, mom always wins.

Adding something new to the kiosk.

Well into our second season and nobody has bought a Swedish Candle. Time to take the hint and offer something else.

The bin to the left now contains Super! Awesome! Primeaux Barkless Firewood! 😅

This is mostly the stuff from the middle of the big logs. It occurred to me that some people use a little wood in their fireplaces, and carry firewood into their living rooms. Tthis stuff is cleaner with no bark or mud to foul your carpet. The cost is $20. The portion is a little smaller than the other bins, but I think it'll be worth it for the cleaner stuff. It does take extra work to sort this out.

Happens a lot, usually near a truck, chainsaw or log splitter. :-)

And if you need some wood, go ahead and disturb me. I'm probably daydreaming nonsense anyway.
