Fish Monger Fri 5/29 Early Seabass Limit (13 man) - Pete n all star crew aboard for a knockout day of fishing. Home turf been 🔥 and today was no different ...Up n down action to start then had an power hr where the fish were growling. These guys had em coming fast n made quick work of a box with nice quality . Like yesterday afternoon with the strong current it was all on bait... after days of great jigging it changes in a blink...ya gotta know when to switch it up and give em the meat. Lots of tog going back as well as loads of squid. Fun stuff with an awesome crew here the pics. Thanks guys

Unfortunately too much wind tomorow but will b back at it sunday... Local fishing is very good with both quality and quantity rn will b adding some additional pm afternoon trips any day the weather allows while the fish are close n hungry. Give Marie a buzz to if interested 732 403-6056

Fish Monger Thurs 5/28 Pm Seabass Limit (11man) Back at it for a nice afternoon...Capt Alex and a great crew of regulars fought some wind as the breeze came up harder than expected... but still picked away at em until they had full box despite the tougher conditions. Again some nice quality in the mix n bunch of tog going back... Bait out produced jigs this afternoon. Crew worked harder for em but end result the same! Tasty fillets for all. Thanks guys

Fish Monger Thurs 5/28 Another Seabass Limit ( 15 man) - Brian and the wrecking crew aboard... good bite to start wacking away on the first couple stops. After that just a steady pick till the box was filled with another 15 man limit, had to do alot of bouncin around but the great quality made it worth it! Check out the size...Plenty of shorts to keep everyone busy and lots of blackfish going back again. Jigs n bait both produced... Loads of life with the fish spitting up sandeels squids macks and rain fish! Tasty fillets for all. Here some pics thanks guys!!!

Lots of fish n lots of pictures. Loads of action n happy anglers... Great fishing continues with 3 great crews aboard today. Sandeels galore and fish the were gorging away... porg n crew and the Wednt Family in the morning...both boats picked away to limits boxes in the am with some nice quality in the mix... some nice double headers. In the Pm It was Joe Boycko crew aboard for Our great friend and customer Rubber band Pete 80th birthday!!! jig fish went nuts with up and down action. Mack rig werw 🔥 They made short work an 11 man box on a beautiful afternoon. Lots of blackfish going back too. Tasty fillets for all...Hopefully it keeps up... Heres some pics. Thanks guys!

Fish Monger Tues 5/26 Early Seabass Limits for both boats (17 & 13 man) / Additional Open Availability (Wed and Thurs Pm )

Woahhhh🔥 some serious life and fishing rn... drop n reel all trip long. Jigs bait teasers they ate it all. Even on the bare top hook. Check out those readings...Big spread of fish, Mega amount of eels inshore and the fish are gorging. Have to w**d thru smaller stuff but plenty of quality... every spot we checked today was loaded w life. Did some snooping around w the nice weather and like what we seen. Awesome day for both boats, Lots of fun with Two great repeats crews, filled the boxes with a big 17 man on Big Red and 13 man on the Green machine. Few ling and wayyyy to many keeper size tog snapping n going back. Heres some pics thanks guys !

⚠️With the cherry weather we have added additonal trips on Wed and Thurs afternoon Fish are local come load up and harvest some fresh fish for dinner⚠️

Fish Monger Mon 5/25 Memorial Day Seabass Limits for both boats (14 & 13 man)

First off would like to thank everyone who has served (past and present) our great country 🇺🇲

On to the fishing...as much as it sucked losing all weekend (Fri-Sun)to the wind, the blow did just what it was supposed to. Game on!!! Both boats fished in different areas n seen a Big spread of new fish! Loads of life everywhere we both fished on both bait n jigs. Had to pick through some small stuff but great action n plenty of nice keepers mixed in to fill the box. 14 and 13 man limits made for tasty fillets for all! Loads of blackfish chewing n going back too as well as a couple cods. Much better fishing and closer to what we are accustomed to. Lets hope it holds up going forward.

Improvement for both boats!

Still far from what it should b but Landed on a decent batch and jig bite to start then just a dribble pick for both of us... Jigs early/ Bait was better late... Added up by days end and both boats put together a much better catch than we been seeing. Dave Dibbs was on fire hh with 22 k ( orl)... Not a big spread of life tho checked a bunch of spots most were still pretty barren , couple that had life ya gotta just stuck with the slow pick. Everyone worked hard at it n Def Made the most of it!

Two Great repeat charters , Wed crew Dibbs & Joe Pa Steel that always have a good time n fish hard! Heres some pics thanks guys!

Looking ahead it seems like a big easterly is coming, as much as we hate to b tied up and canceled its just what we need to move a bigger batch of fish into the area. We will b back at it as soon as the weather allows!

3 more trips with some awesome crews.

5/17 Pm we had Mike and the family aboard. Went to the area where a few boats jigged some seabass earlier in the day hoping it would last for the after but it didnt. Was very dull with some shorts only a handful of keepers. Wish the fishing was better but the kids had a good time and made the best of it of the afternoon on the water.

5/18 Both boats were back at it... looked for seabass early but was dull with just a few. Knew there been a little bite late everyday but couldn't sit and wait so both boats went deeper for the better bet and looked for ling. Nothing crazy but picked at em. More action n again meat for boxm

As u can see from reports around fleet it been a tough start to seabass but doing what we gotta to mix it up and give everyone the best possible day we can. Good news is more seabass were caught by others yesterday (not us) which is an encouraging sign. Warms temps this week and easterly wind this weekend will get the em moving and push in a bigger spread inshore

Both boats back at it... red boat looked inshore for seabass green boat headed deeper Didnt find much in the way for seabass so headed off n both boats went with filling the box with what was biting best. Wasnt a crush but picked at em...not the ling fishing we are used to but plenty of bites n life everywhere we went.Got the kids into the action n everyone went home with meat for dinner. A win in my book with the bite lately. One boat boxed 160 the other 100... Couple nice tog going back and a stray whiting n winter flounder. Two great crews who fished hard. Heres some pics... thanks guy!!!

Both boats back at it in another area today. More of the same....Slim pickings with the seabass, pluck a few, some ling to add a little to the box but even that is off/ slower than we are used to. There's some fish but very sluggish, its take a while to get em to bite in this cold water... not what we wanted but the crews had some action n worked really hard to get what they could for the box. The Boats boxed up a mixed bag of 50-70 fish. Need alot more but getting what we can... we will kept at it...

Fish Monger Opening Day Seabass / Ling / Blackfish (released)

Both boats at it for am and pm trips with 4 awesome crews. Just like everything else this spring with the cold water. 45 deg n def Not like normal seabass fishing we are used to. Picked a few seabass and ling as well a couple of keeper fluke but holy cow the blackfish bite was wild. Growling... What we couldn't catch in April was growling with alot of nice size would b keepers going back. The action kept everyone busy between the dull seabass. It will all straighten out as the temps come up a bit. The best of the 4 trips boxed 45 fish the rest just a handful Similar results for most everyone we talked with.
