Dear Club Members:

Our club meeting will be this Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Pocatello flying field.

Scott Elliot, our Vice President, has resigned from his position and the club. With his various interests and responsibilities, he simply does not have the time to devote the club. We appreciate all he has done for the club and wish him well.

At our meeting, we will need to discuss the election of officers. Typically, the election of club officers would take place in October. However, given the lack of participation in the club and the resignation of various members over the last few years, we need to discuss the viability of the club, members commitment to the club, whether we should end the club as an AMA flying club and turn it into a car club only, or the dissolution of the club completely. Depending upon where the club goes, we also need to give consideration to the Blackfoot field.

Not the best news to share, but that's where we are. For the last few years our typical club meeting attendance has been 4 to 6 individuals. In addition, Dave is really the only member who has devoted significant time to the maintenance of the field.

If you are interested in keeping this club going, please attend the meeting this Wednesday.

May 14, 2026 we NOW have a new club secretary, and the website is back up and running! Thank you to Gordon Simpson for stepping up to keep the club going. Sign up for club memberships on the website electronically, or you can download the new forms and mail in your membership form.

Club memberships for full-access (flying and driving) are ONLY $75.00, and for those who only want to do RC cars (1/10 scale and smaller) the dues are $50.00

Remember, there is an informal gathering at the RC car track on Thursday nights from 6:30 till dark.

We had a club meeting on April 29, 2026.

We recently had our secretary/treasurer resign, and therefore, we had to take down the website. We did not feel it was appropriate to have people paying membership dues when we did not have a person to collect the fees and process the applications. We just elected a new secretary/treasurer, Gordon. He will be getting some training on the website and we hope to have it up soon.

Yesterday, May 9, 2026 several club members were at the field preparing the rc car tracks. New dirt was put down, jumps fixed, and the track contoured. In addition, a new waterline was put in so that water is accessible at track side. Remember to water the track before driving on it.

RC car people are at the field every Thursday at 7. Membership is $50.00.

For those who fly, we plan to fly on the first and third Thursdays of each month. However, member may fly at any time during the daylight hours. Remember to call the Pocatello Airport tower before and after flying. Membership for those who fly planes or do both planes and rc cars, is $75.00 and you must be a member of the AMA.

I will be at the airfield in Pocatello this Thursday, May 14, 2026. If anyone wants to join the club, I can sign you up then. You may also sign up on the website once we have it back up.

Our next club meeting will be at the Pocatello field on May 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

We are in need of RC fliers and drivers to get involved and keep the club afloat. We're having a meeting on April 29th, 7pm in the upstairs conference room at the Pocatello airport. We will be electing a new club secretary and talking about future plans.
