Today is ENS Sign Awareness Day, a reminder of the important role Emergency Notification System (ENS) signs play at railroad crossings.

In an emergency, the blue and white ENS sign provides a direct phone number to the railroad and a unique crossing ID to help responders quickly identify the location.

If a vehicle becomes stuck on the tracks, get clear of the crossing, locate the ENS sign, and call the number listed.

At Top Rail Solutions, we believe safety starts with awareness. Take a moment to locate the ENS sign the next time you approach a railroad crossing—you never know when that knowledge could make a difference.
