On Saturday, I was blessed to shoot Emilee and Joel's gorgeous wedding day at Chitwood Mountain Farms in Winfield, KY. And even though it was hotter than a jalapeño, it was absolute perfection! I'm not quite sure how someone manages to look so gorgeous for eight hours in the sweltering late August heat, but Emilee, Joel, and their wedding parties looked effortlessly beautiful until the very last photo had been snapped.
Every wedding with AMP includes multiple meetings and consultations where we discuss anything and everything about my client's day; timeline planning, decor consultation, and more. Earlier in the week, I shot her gown and wedding day details in the studio and love being able to offer this to my brides because it allows me to get a little more creative and gives me so much more time to work with them and their wedding parties on the morning of the wedding. I try to create backdrops that are unique to each bride; choosing papers, florals, props, etc. that match the decor they've chosen for their big day. Emilee had chosen a colorful wildflowers for her bouquets, arch, and reception tables so I repeated that in the studio; constructing a wildflower chandelier to hang over the dress form and was so happy with the finished product. And can we just talk about her dress! Absolutely perfect!
There's something so very special about being entrusted with such an important task as documenting someone's wedding. Something so special about knowing that two people respect and admire you enough to share their day with you. It is always, always, ALWAYS an honor.
A little sneak peek from their beautiful day....
