Experienced Landoll Driver – Commission-Based | Weekly Pay

Pay: $1,000.00 – $2,000.00+ per week

Texan Transportation is hiring an experienced Landoll trailer driver to join our growing operation.

This position is for an experienced driver who is comfortable hauling commercial, industrial, and heavy equipment using a Landoll traveling-axle trailer. Applicants should already understand equipment loading, winching, securement, and safe transport procedures.

Pay & Compensation

30% commission of what the truck makes each week
Typical weekly pay: $1,000–$2,000+
Weekly pay
You handle the billing paperwork, so you know exactly what your truck is producing
W-2 position — payroll taxes deducted
Pay range is based on real averages from current drivers

Equipment & Work

Operate a Class 8 tractor with Landoll traveling-axle trailer
Transport commercial, industrial, construction, and heavy equipment
Load and unload equipment using the Landoll hydraulic traveling axle system
Perform winch work when required
Properly chain, strap, and secure equipment in accordance with DOT requirements
Inspect loads, chains, binders, straps, winches, and trailer equipment before transport
Local and regional work depending on customer needs
Hands-on position — no remote work

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
CDL must have been held for at least 2 years
Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
Previous Landoll, traveling-axle, or heavy-equipment hauling experience strongly preferred
Must be comfortable loading and unloading equipment without assistance
Strong knowledge of chains, binders, straps, winching, and load securement
Clean driving record
Valid DOT medical card
Must be at least 22 years old
TWIC card strongly preferred — company can assist with obtaining one
Experience hauling forklifts, construction equipment, machinery, lifts, containers, or other industrial equipment is a major advantage
Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to communicate professionally with customers and dispatch

For more than 25 years, Texan Transportation and Texan Fleet Services have provided trusted full-service transportation, heavy-haul, and fleet maintenance solutions across Texas and surrounding states.
We operate a 20-truck fleet and full in-house maintenance shop, handling everything from preventive maintenance to major repairs — engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and more.
We’re looking for a skilled, dependable Fleet Mechanic who takes pride in quality work and keeping our trucks and trailers safe, compliant, and on the road.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel tractors, trailers, and light-duty trucks
Perform DOT inspections and ensure units meet federal and company safety standards
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Handle PM services (oil changes, brakes, filters, tires, lights, etc.)
Perform in-shop and occasional road calls as needed
Maintain accurate service records in Fullbay or other maintenance software
Assist with parts ordering and inventory
Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and the operations team
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (Fleet, Trucking, or Equipment Repair)
Familiarity with Cummins, Detroit, CAT, and/or Paccar engines preferred
Experience with diagnostic tools (Motive, Nexiq, etc.) a plus
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop or outdoor conditions
Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule & Pay
Full-time: Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday availability)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($25–$40/hr typical)
