Good morning, friends.

Boats are starting to trickle in. We have hauled 8 so far, and sounds like we may be very busy in the next few days.

👉🏻Don’t forget to sign in on the list by the warehouse. Check in here first, and then if you want to go elsewhere, feel free to do so.

👉🏻Please be quiet and peaceful, whether you are in Pile Bay or find another spot you like. Remember there are established communities on the lake that don’t necessarily want to hear loud parties going on.

👉🏻If you plan to drink, just go ahead and untie from our bulkhead, and anchor out in the bay. There are people here who would love the chance to untie entire rafts of boats, so don’t tempt them. NO DRINKING AT THE DOCK OR BULKHEAD.

And last, the BATHHOUSE. You guys. There are brooms and cleaning supplies in each. If you track in a bunch of dirt, please sweep it up. Also, can you please wait to trim any hair of any kind until you are in your own bathroom? If you leave the shower black with grime, guess what? You’ll find cleaning supplies under the sink. And last, take EVERYTHING with you that you bring in. Soap, shampoo, underwear, washcloths, towels, wallets, hair trimmings, and a partridge and a pear tree. It’s been a mess. Let’s improve, shall we?

Thanks for all your help and cooperation. Safe travels to Pile Bay, everyone.

Starting to get a few more boats trickling through, so time for this sage reminder!

Please be considerate of this communities around the lake as you pass through. Don’t forget to slow down as you pass by Igiugig, so as not to swamp their local fleet and cause waves which erode the riverbank.

Thank you!

Hey folks, Randy flew the river and took video of the shallow places he’s referencing. He also reports 2 boats from New Halen made it down yesterday, drawing 30-32” for reference.

Update: Per Randy- If your boat draws 3.5 feet or more, plan to travel the river with a partner boat to assist in shallow spots. Randy and Davey are guiding this year, depending on their availability around their own fishing.

Hello friends! Time for the annual update for our Bristol Bay bound crews.

Right now, the lake is 2” higher than last year. We have heard that a notoriously shallow place in the river is measuring at 35.” I will try to update you on that location. As it warms, hopefully we will see those number elevate. The pond is GREAT!

Last, by way of reminder, we will not be taking PO’s this year. Northline has set up a workable system with us, so if you fish Northline, and your name is on their list, you should be set. Otherwise, be prepared to pay in full at the time of service. Comment, message, or call with questions!

Thank you!

Please remember to slow down and watch for boats as you approach Igiugig. We have received complaints about boats going by on step, creating issues for the local fleet. Thank you!

We are experiencing intermittent heavy rain in Pile Bay the last week, which creates flooded roads, and heavy road wash outs. The road repairs have been made, but we may be slower, and tide dependent.

When you come, come prepared for a wait, just in case. We have gas and diesel. Feel free to call or message, and we can give you the current status. It’s changing rapidly, so it’s best to just check in before you come up.

Fishing community, please remember you are guests on this lake, and behave yourselves accordingly. Loud music, drunken parties, and general disruptions to the communities around this lake are not acceptable, so please just don’t be that guy/crew/boat. Word gets around, and has gotten around, so please be quiet, and peaceful while you wait for your portage. If you can’t, go somewhere by yourself so you don’t disturb the residents of the communities.

For all the fishermen getting ready to head for Bristol Bay. The lake level in Pile Bay is 1.4, that is about a foot higher than last year at this time.

Hello friends! A little admin outreach as we approach the beginning of our 2024 operating season.

We will be ready to portage fishing boat starting June 1. The earlier you come, the less wait you have, and that first week of June is usually pretty low key!

1. If you arrive in Williamsport and your balance is not paid from last year, your turn in line will be passed for the next guy who pays his invoice. There are 2 of you, and you both have voicemails from me, so shouldn’t be much question. Give me a call, I’d love to chat!

2. We will not be able to extend any credit this year. This means no holding checks, credit cards, or paying on the way back. We take pre-payment, credit cards, cash, check or PO’s from OBI, Peter Pan or Trident only. Due at the time of service, no exception. Plan accordingly.

3. No trash. This needs no further explanation. If it does, just scroll down a few posts.

We are excited and so ready to see you! Just a few short months!

We are currently out of diesel fuel to sell- if you need fuel, please consider stopping at Igiugig and giving Ida a call. Message with questions!
