What a day at Monett Regional Airport! We had the Stearman and the Texan plus a J3 Cub flying a lot of the day! Joe and Rhonda Shetterly and their two boys, Sam and David brought their J3 and Cessna 150. Nate and Pam Scott brought their Cessna 182. Will Boswell had his grandpa Derek’s T6 Texas and Stearman for all to share! We were transported to the 1940’s.

The Monett Fire Department is pleased to acknowledge FF. Whittington and FF. Ogle for successfully completing and passing the 3-Day Swift Water Rescue Technician Course, conducted by Apex Rescue near Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

This achievement brings the total number of Swift Water Rescue Technicians within the Monett Fire Department to 11.

The City of Monett, Zeek's Detail, LLC, and the Monett Area Chamber of Commerce invite you to come check out the newly cleaned McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II at Monett's South Park at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, 2026. The City of Monett would like to thank Zeek's Detail for donating its time and expertise to clean the jet in time for Monett's America 250 celebrations this summer.
