Raquel Snow will be building her skills in the R22/R44 Safety Course, while Alexa Dunn will be advancing her experience in the R66 Safety Course—both outstanding opportunities to grow as safe, knowledgeable, and confident pilots.

Biggest congratulations to Alicia and Arlene on this incredible achievement! 🎉👏

As recipients of the Leonardo Helicopters Scholarship, they’ve earned the opportunity to attend the full AW139 Airframe Maintenance Course at the Training Academy in Philadelphia — a program valued at $48,760.

Over 6 weeks, they’ll complete 4 weeks of in-depth classroom theory followed by 2 weeks of hands-on training using the Maintenance Training Simulator (MTS). This is an amazing step forward in their aviation careers and a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Pictured here at Verticon, Lovel is a dedicated helicopter flight instructor whose passion for teaching and aviation truly stands out. This new scholarship, sponsored by Leonardo Helicopters, awarded TWO Whirly-Girls the opportunity to attend the AW169 factory type rating course in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—a major milestone in any pilot’s career.

The intensive 19-day program includes ground training, advanced procedural training in the FirstFlight VIPT, and full flight simulator sessions, representing a total value of $47,500. An incredible opportunity to gain world-class experience on a cutting-edge aircraft.

Big congratulations to Hanna on earning the Leading Edge Flight Academy & Central Oregon Community College Helicopter Instrument Rating Scholarship 🚁✨

Originally from Oregon and now based in Ventura, CA, Hanna is a dedicated nurse and holds her PPL (h) with most of her flying experience in California. Now, she’s heading back to her home state to complete this exciting next step in her aviation journey 🚁✨

Through this scholarship, Hanna will complete advanced instrument training in Bend, Oregon, including flight time in the Robinson R44, simulator training, and extensive ground instruction—an incredible opportunity to sharpen her skills and grow as a pilot.
