I’m just saying… this might be your sign to join that vacation. 🌴

The W Punta Cana is definitely one I have my eye on. It’s adults only, all inclusive, and has that fun, social W vibe without giving up the beautiful beach, great food, gorgeous pools, and relaxing part of a Caribbean vacation.

It’s in Uvero Alto, about 45 minutes from the Punta Cana airport, and I think this would be such a good fit for couples, a girls trip, birthdays, or a group of friends who want a resort where there’s actually something going on.

And can we talk about the hidden speakeasy? Because obviously I need to find it. 😂

So if someone sends you the group chat message asking, “Should we go to Punta Cana?”

The answer might just be yes.

This week, my desk is taking me to Germany. 🇩🇪

I’m currently working on two very different, very exciting trips for clients: a Germany Christmas Market trip for December 2026 and a Germany river cruise for 2027.

Germany has a special place in my heart. I’m 99% German, and one of the best trips of my life was visiting Germany with my family. The history, the villages, the food, the scenery, the castles, I could go on.

A lot of people know me for Caribbean and Mexico all-inclusive resorts, and yes, I absolutely love planning those trips. But that is not all I book, and it is definitely not all I love.

Europe is a big part of what I do too, especially when I can help clients create a trip that feels thoughtful, personal, and worth remembering for years.

So while one client may be dreaming about a swim-up suite in Mexico, another may be sipping glühwein in a German Christmas market or cruising past castles along the river.

That variety is one of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor.

One of the reasons I believe travel advisors need to travel? We learn things you simply can’t learn from behind a computer. ✈️

This week, I flew from Traverse City to Dallas Fort Worth, then on to Phoenix. It had been several years since I’d connected through DFW, and I had forgotten just how BIG that airport is.

If you’re connecting through Dallas, connection time matters. Getting from one terminal to another can take time, and this trip gave me another reminder I’ll now be sharing with my clients.

My boarding pass showed one gate. The American Airlines app showed another. I headed to the terminal listed in the app, only to find out I needed to be somewhere else.

The advice straight from the gate agent?

Always check the airport screens. Don’t rely solely on your boarding pass or the airline app because gates can change and information may not update everywhere at the same time.

It’s a small travel tip, but when you’re navigating an airport the size of DFW, it can make a BIG difference.

This is also why I travel. Every airport, flight, hotel, resort, cruise and destination teaches me something I can bring back to my clients.

A travel advisor shouldn’t just know how to book your trip. We should know how to help you travel smarter. ✈️
