Our road trip from Lisbon to Madrid continues… 🇵🇹🚗🇪🇸

After an unforgettable stop in Medellín with my 93-year-old grandpa, we continued on to Toledo—and this city feels like stepping straight into another century.

We found ourselves driving alongside Toledo’s massive medieval walls, trying to figure out how to get into the old city. Once we finally parked and started exploring, we discovered a maze of cobblestone streets, ancient buildings, hidden passageways and centuries of history.

Toledo is known as the “City of the Three Cultures,” shaped by Christian, Jewish and Muslim history—and you can still see those layers throughout the city today.

This is exactly what I love about a road trip. Sometimes the places you discover along the way become part of the story you remember most.
