Planning another delivery... Where to next?

We cast off slow at dawn
With crates and prayer and bread
The pier fell back behind us
Like a dream we’d almost said

The mast bit through the morning
The deck kept time in oak
Salt on our sleeves and collars
Blue gulls circling the smoke

And the coast went thin
Then slipped away
The line between us
And the day

Rock me on the water
Rock me home
Rock me on the water
Let me roam

Stars over the rigging
Silver and slow
Rock me on the water
Till I go

We watched the finches vanish
From one green cliff of pine
Saw kelp comb through the foam
Like dark hair in a line

The sea laid down its breathing
Long swells, easy, low
Winds ran cool through canvas
And taught the ropes to glow

And every night
The sky grew wide
A black glass harbor
Full of light

Rock me on the water
Rock me home
Rock me on the water
Let me roam

Stars over the rigging
Silver and slow
Rock me on the water
Till I go

At midnight the moon spilled out
On every waking wave
We lay there wrapped in blankets
As if the sea were brave

No clock, no chase, no sorrow
Only breath and foam
The gulls slept in the darkness
And the tide sang us a home

Rock me on the water
Rock me home
Rock me on the water
Let me roam

Stars over the rigging
Silver and slow
Rock me on the water
Rock me on the water
Till I go

Most people know about the Army and Navy roles on D-Day, but have you heard the full story of the US Coast Guard?

On June 6, 1944, Coast Guardsmen were on the front lines of history. From expertly navigating Higgins boats through dangerous surf to deliver troops to the beaches, to the heroic "Rescue Flotilla One" that pulled over 400 men from the English Channel, their bravery was unparalleled.

By the end of D-Day, 99 vessels were crewed by Coast Guardsmen. Today, we honor the courage of those who delivered the troops and saved their fellow servicemen under fire.

Please share this post to help us honor their incredible legacy of service.

CoastEase Tip for National Sunscreen Day
Don’t let the Gulf Coast sun out‑shine your fun — reapply every 2 hours, especially on the water.
Your future self (and your captain) will thank you.

Memorial Day Weekend — From the CoastEase Captains & Tikis Crew

This weekend, before the sunshine, the laughter, and the time on the water, we pause for what matters most.

Memorial Day is not about celebration — it’s about remembrance.
It’s about honoring the men and women who gave everything so the rest of us could live freely, gather with our families, and enjoy simple moments on the Gulf Coast.

Many on our CoastEase team are veterans.
Some of us have stood at ceremonies for friends who never made it home.
Some of us carry the names of fallen comrades quietly, every day.
And all of us understand the weight and meaning of this weekend.

As part of our tribute, our Memorial Day video includes “Taps.”
This 24‑note bugle call is soft, solemn, and unmistakable — a final honor played for those who gave their lives in service. Though only a few seconds long, it carries generations of grief, gratitude, and remembrance. When “Taps” plays, we pause… because it symbolizes the nation’s promise to never forget the fallen.

🇺🇸 To the fallen: We remember you.
🇺🇸 To the families: We honor you.
🇺🇸 To our brothers and sisters in uniform, past and present: We stand with you.

From our CoastEase family to yours, we wish you a safe, meaningful Memorial Day Weekend.
May we never take for granted the freedoms paid for by others.

National Safe Boating Week Tip:
Local knowledge matters. Our captains keep a constant
eye on changing weather and radar trends, meaning
we know exactly when to cruise and when to head for
calm waters.

Yes, even Inspected boats get boarded by the USCG. We appreciate their hard work in making sure everyone is safe before the busy summer charter season. And we passed our boarding with Zero Violations - earning the coveted Golden Ticket during Safe Boating Week. The boarding team was even nice enough to honor our bride with a photo!
Thank you !

Our hearts are heavy this week. The tragic accident at the Alabama Point submerged jetties this past weekend is a devastating reminder of just how quickly a beautiful day on the Gulf can turn into a nightmare. Our deepest thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the families and everyone affected by this heartbreak.

Perdido Pass is one of the most beautiful stretches of water on our coast, but as any local captain will tell you, it demands absolute respect. Between the shifting tides, heavy boat traffic, changing sandbars, and the submerged rocks at the point, navigating these waters safely takes more than just a boat license—it takes true local knowledge.

For National Safe Boating Week, our CoastEase Captains want to step up, not just as tour guides, but as active advocates for our local boating community. Safety isn't about ruining the fun; it’s about making sure every single person makes it back to the dock.

TRAINING is the ultimate investment in your SAFETY.

Are you looking to get out on the water this summer but don't feel 100% confident yet? If you look at the buoys, channels, and weather apps and wonder how to read them, or if the thought of docking or tying lines makes you nervous—we are here to help.
