This week, mayors from communities along the Illinois River came together in Peoria for the inaugural conference of the Illinois River Cities & Towns Initiative (IRCTI).

The conference, hosted in collaboration with the Illinois Waterway Ports Commission, marks a significant step toward aligning economic development, environmental stewardship, workforce readiness, and infrastructure investment in our river‑region communities.
