The "Behind the Camouflage" campaign is a dedicated effort by the Marine Corps Association to bridge the gap in Marine Corps resources for Marine spouses and their families by providing essential education and support.

Honoring a Legacy:
On 5 June 2025, the Marines of AMS-2 proudly participated in the retirement ceremony of SgtMaj Al Torres, Sergeant Major of Marine Aviation Support Group 23 (MATSG-23).
With over two decades of distinguished service, SgtMaj Torres leaves behind a legacy of leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to the Marine Corps.

From enlisting in 1997 in Corpus Christi to serving as the Group Sergeant Major at MATSG-23, SgtMaj Al Torres gave years of exemplary service to the U.S. Marine Corps.

His journey comprised of deployments with the 26th MEU, supporting presidential operations at HMX-1, and leadership roles across aviation, recruiting, and infantry commands.

His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (7x), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3x), Combat Action Ribbon, and the Presidential Service Badge.
