If you've been around since the Glitter Nuts days, you might be wondering what happened. Short answer... I traded glitter for flour. Yep...never in a million years would I have believed that I'd go from chasing the perfect glitter mix to chasing the perfect sourdough ear. Yet here we are!!
Life has a funny way of changing us.
After my cancer journey, my heart just started pulling me in a different direction. These days you'll usually find me covered in flour instead of glitter, obsessing over fresh-milled flour, talking to my sourdough starter like it's one of the family, (my brother told me the other day I treated my starter like it was living... I said "It is!" Her name is Wynona!) dreaming about gardens, and trying to convince vegetables to grow in Florida. (Pray for this journey for sure! 🍅🤣)
The more I slowed down, the more I realized what I really loved wasn't glitter...
It was creating.
Only now that creativity looks a little different.
It's baking bread.
It's growing food.
It's cooking meals from scratch.
It's gathering around the table.
It's making memories with family.
It's finding joy in the simple things.
I even threw in some crocheting for a hot minute...
That's what I hope this group becomes.
A place where we can celebrate homemade bread that actually rises...and laugh together when it doesn't. Where we can cheer each other on in the garden...even when the bugs win. Where we can swap recipes, ideas, tips, traditions, kitchen disasters.... No judgement here! We can all learn together about:
