Our Italy Destination Expert Support Officer, Lorenza, returned to Race for the Cure in Rome this year with the same heart that has brought her back to the event for four years, but this time the experience carried even more meaning. For the second year in a row, she took on the competitive 10K, sharing the day with her father, while her mother and sister waited proudly at the finish line. 🏁

For Lorenza, the race is not simply about sport. It is a personal challenge, yes, a reason to leave the desk behind, lace up her running shoes, and work toward a goal. But beyond that, it is her way of standing beside women affected by breast cancer and supporting a cause that touches countless lives. In her own quiet and determined way, she shows that not everyone needs to be a doctor or a scientist to make a difference. Sometimes, showing up is its own form of strength. 🎀

That is what makes Race for the Cure so moving. Some take part to remember, some to support loved ones, some to challenge themselves, and some simply to be part of something meaningful. In Rome, surrounded by a sea of pink, those different reasons come together in one shared purpose: hope, solidarity, and the belief that every step matters.

This year, that feeling became even more personal for Lorenza. Running alongside her father turned the race into more than a competition. It became a family moment, held together by encouragement, pride, and love. At the finish line, with her mother and sister there to welcome them, the day carried the kind of warmth that stays with people long after the race is over. 👨‍👩‍👧

At JayWay Travel, we are proud to see Lorenza represent not only our team, but also the spirit of compassion and community that events like this inspire. And although pink may not be her favorite color, she wore it with pride for a cause close to so many hearts. 💗

A recent CBS Sunday Morning segment by Seth Doane CBS News got us thinking:
Can custom travel be part of the solution to overtourism? 🌍

For us at JayWay, this issue has always hit close to home. Literally! Our Destination Experts and many of our team members live in the European destinations our guests come to experience, including places deeply affected by overtourism.

Overtourism is complex, and it needs bigger, systemic solutions. But the way we choose to travel still matters.
That is where thoughtful, custom travel can make a difference.

At JayWay, we help guests avoid the cut-and-paste approach: traveling at smarter times, choosing better bases, working with trusted local partners, and discovering meaningful alternatives beyond the busiest streets and most crowded viewpoints.
Because the goal isn't a "go, see, return" of Europe.
It is to experience it. Savor it. By doing so, it respects the places, people, and communities that make it so special.

There is a short moment in Provence when summer seems to arrive in shades of purple. 🔮

The air feels warmer, the days stretch longer, and the fields begin to fill with the soft scent of lavender. Rows of violet flowers roll across the countryside, bees move lazily from blossom to blossom, and the little hilltop villages of Provence feel even more magical than usual.

🪻 Lavender season usually begins around mid-June, with many fields at their best from late June to mid-July. Around the Valensole Plateau, the bloom often peaks earlier, while higher areas near Sault can stay purple into late July or even early August, depending on the weather.

It is also one of the most photogenic times to visit Provence, when every turn seems to offer another frame of purple fields, golden light, and storybook villages. Travelers come here not only to admire the lavender, but also to capture some of the most magnificent photos of the summer.

For travelers who love slow, beautiful moments, Provence in lavender season feels like pure summer poetry.

✨ The people behind your perfect European trip? Meet Edoardo 🔽

Some people learn hospitality. Edo has been living it for over 15 years.

As our Switzerland Destination Expert and Lucerne City Host, Edoardo is one of the friendly faces our guests may meet while traveling with JayWay in Switzerland. With a natural eye for detail and a calm, thoughtful approach, he has a way of noticing what guests need, often before they even say it.

Whether he’s sharing local tips, cultural insights, or simply making someone feel at ease, Edoardo brings a quiet confidence that turns every interaction into something personal.

For Edoardo, travel has always been about immersion. New places, new flavors, new perspectives. Not just seeing the world, but understanding it through the people you meet along the way. 🌍

That same perspective shapes everything he does at JayWay. And when he’s not helping craft meaningful journeys for our guests, he’s often out exploring himself, camera in hand, capturing the places he visits and sharing those beautiful moments with us. 📸

Ask him about the perfect vacation and he’ll smile, because he’s still figuring it out himself. Part of him wants to see everything, do everything. Another part is drawn to slowing down, maybe even a quiet retreat by the sea.

Some moments stay with you forever. For Edoardo, standing in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia was one of them. Vast, powerful, unforgettable. The kind of place that reminds you just how big the world really is.

Whenever possible, Edoardo prefers to travel by train - slower, more sustainable, and full of stories waiting to unfold. 🚂

Japan sits at the top of his must-visit list, while surfing is something he’s been meaning to properly learn one day. And honestly, both feel very Edoardo: curious, open-minded, and always ready for a new way of experiencing the world. 🏄‍♂️🇯🇵

His advice for Europe is simple, but important: don’t rush it. See less, experience more, and leave something for next time.

As we celebrate 20 years of JayWay Travel, it’s people like Edoardo, thoughtful, curious, and deeply dedicated, who make every journey feel effortless, meaningful, and truly unforgettable. 💙

🇵🇱 The heart of Poland - Warsaw, is a city with a powerful story, and one that becomes more fascinating the more time you spend with it.

Poland’s capital and largest city has risen from the ashes of its near-total destruction during World War II to become a lively, creative, and deeply historic European capital. Its Old Town, carefully rebuilt using historic materials, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a moving symbol of Warsaw’s resilience.

But Warsaw is not only a place of difficult history. It is also a city of music, art, food, and culture. It is proudly connected to Chopin, but its artistic spirit goes far beyond one famous name, with theaters, museums, cinemas, galleries, festivals, and the unmistakable Palace of Culture and Science shaping its cultural scene.

What makes especially interesting is that its stories are spread across the city. Its Jewish heritage, royal past, communist-era history, and World War II memories are not all found in one place, which is why exploring with a local guide makes such a difference. At first, Warsaw may not reveal everything at once, but slowly, neighborhood by neighborhood, it opens up.

From the Royal Mile and the Old Town to powerful 20th-century history tours, cozy restaurants, and nearby escapes to lakes, castles, Łódź, or Kazimierz Dolny, Warsaw has far more to offer than many first-time visitors expect.

With , we help you experience Warsaw in a way that feels thoughtful, personal, and full of meaning. ✨

Asher and Deborah enjoyed a beautifully crafted journey through Italy, blending iconic cities with the peaceful charm of the countryside and plenty of unforgettable food along the way.

From exploring Rome’s historic neighborhoods and vibrant food scene to wandering the elegant streets of Florence, their days were filled with culture, flavor, and discovery. In Chianti, they slowed down and embraced the Tuscan way of life, with scenic drives through Val d’Orcia and visits to timeless hill towns like Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Siena. Their journey continued to Venice, where canals, history, and atmosphere brought the perfect final touch to an already rich itinerary.
It was a trip that truly balanced cities, countryside, and culinary moments - all seamlessly connected. 🍷
