🐯 The Tiger and the Strawberry 🍓
A man was walking across a field when suddenly he encountered a tiger.
The tiger began to chase him.
The man ran as fast as he could until he reached the edge of a steep cliff. With nowhere else to go, he grabbed hold of a wild vine and lowered himself over the edge.
Above him, the tiger waited.
The man looked down.
Far below, another tiger was waiting for him.
He was trapped.
Then two mice appeared, one white and one black. Slowly, they began chewing through the vine that was holding him.
The man knew the vine would not hold forever.
Then, growing from the side of the cliff, he noticed a beautiful ripe strawberry.
He reached out with one hand and picked it.
He placed it in his mouth.
How sweet it tasted.
The lesson is simple:
Life is uncertain. Time is passing. The future is unavoidable. But there is still sweetness in this moment. Do not become so consumed by yesterday or tomorrow that you fail to taste the strawberry that is in front of you today.
